These are some of the best independent and emerging songs released last week that deserve your attention.

Nashville-based pop artist Brooke Alexx is set to stardom with each refreshing new release she offers to her listeners. Most recently, Alexx released her head-boppin’ new single “Never Liked Your Name,” and we can’t get enough. With the bubbly marketing across TikTok, the singer-songwriter immediately grabs your attention with relatable lyrics and an infectious pop production.

“Sober Up” – Blaire Elbert

If you’re a Nashville local and you’ve been to Red Door on a weekday, you might just need this release after. Newcomer Blaire Elbert brings her sophomore single, “Sober Up,” with a little sass and relatable lyrics for listeners. The country production brings Elbert’s vocals to the forefront as she sings “My words they come out sweeter when I’m sippin’ on some jack / They love to watch me leave cause they think I’m coming back.”

Following his notable debut release, Nashville trailblazer Carson Wallace releases his sophomore single “Leavin’ Season.” The singer-songwriter has been grinding to the bone within the walls of Music City and as he’s putting his feet into being an artist, there’s simply nothing slowing him down. The simple and moving lyrics showcase Wallace’s pure talent.

“Oklahoma Sooner” – Jake Banfield

There are not many words to describe Jake Banfield other than multi-versed and incredibly talented. As Banfield has released another top-notch track, “Oklahoma Sooner,” the singer-songwriter proves that his time within the writing rooms in Nashville is quickly paying off. With a modern production sound and Banfield’s distinct vocals, the Oklahoma native pours his heart into this release.
