The number of songs from independent and signed artists released each Friday is growing, and they are more and more well-written, well-produced, or simply just a good release.

These are some of the best independent and emerging songs released last week that deserve your attention.

“What Do You Do?” – Caden McGuire ft. Whitney Wren

There’s a bad stigma with TikTok influencers crossing over into the music realm, especially into country music. Popular influencers Caden McGuire and Whitney Wren prove that wrong with the release of their new single “What Do You Do?.” With production by Jake Parshall, the pair bring a radio-ready single that deserves to shine alongside the a-list releases.

“DiCaprio” – Jenna Davis

There’s a lot of pressure when it comes to a new artist bursting into the scene. With SMACK Records flagship Jenna Davis, that barrier is preasure isn’t there. With the release of her debut single, “DiCaprio,” the pop-country shares a track that showcases her twangy and bright vocals.

“You Made Me” – Kelsey Lamb

It takes one moment to put you onto a radar your career has never saw. Singer-songwriter Kelsey Lamb has finally had her well-deserved viral moment. Last Friday, “You Made Me,” released everywhere and quickly rose on the charts reaching top placements on iTunes All-Genre along with Country. The track is simple, yet so powerful. The lyrics speak like a story of empowerment of trusting and loving every part.

“More Tennessee” – Callum Kerr

New to the country music scene throughout Nashville, the Scottish singer-songwriter Calum Kerr has released his sophmore single “More Tennessee.” The track is so simple, yet powerful enough to showcase Kerr’s natural talent. The lyrics are relatable which catches an audience to listen as the story unfold.

“Someone Like Me” – July Moon

Trailblazing a path through Music City, country trio July Moon showcase their iresistable vocals in their new song “Someone Like Me.” A strong beat and melodies that catch your attention, the trio brings a track that you can’t get enough of. Inspired by one of the trio’s upcoming wedding, they co-wrote it with hit songwriter Liz Rose and AJ Pruis.

“A Man Like You” – American Blonde

A name that has been ringing throughout Nashville for years, American Blonde. The sister duo brings their dynamic vocals and their feisty side to a new single, “A Man Like You.” The track showcases their impressive talent along with the pop-country production that makes a listener excited to dive right in.

“Hush Little Baby (Acoustic)” – Ashley Ryan

The song may fimilar to some, but yet again, Ashley Ryan soars. With the acoustic version of her viral hit “Hush Little Baby,” the singer-songwriter showcases her powerful and dynamtic range. The production of this so simple acoustic version brings a light the song has never seen before, a very powerful one.
