Carter Faith Mourns Lost Love With ‘Cowboy Forever’ (Review)
Carter Faith’s voice is remarkable and undeniably unique. Her twang hangs thick over her melodies, as evidenced by her new song “Cowboy Forever.” A heart-torn, neo-traditional track, Faith wrote the song with her frequent collaborators Lauren Hungate and Tofer Brown. Her fingerprints are all over the lyrics, a mark of a true artist.
“I wasn’t thinking,” she weeps over her guitar. “I was dreaming of his cattle ranch, his grandma’s diamond ring on my left hand / What was I drinkin’?”
Her heart’s been obliterated, and as she attempts to clean up the mess, her should-be beau rides off into the sunset. It was all wrong, to begin with, and she ignored all the signs. The heart is funny like that.

This year alone, Faith has toured with the likes of Maren Morris and Little Big Town. She’s also shared a stage with none other than Willie Nelson just a few short weeks ago. On streaming, she’s already made inroads, earning a 13 million+ streaming hit with “Greener Pasture” as well as several other viral hits, from “The Devil’s Still Down in Georgia” to “Wild.” Irrefutably, she’s a superstar in the making.
