Tyler Chambers Celebrates Life With ‘Loves Me Like A Small Town’ (Review)

Tyler Chambers’ “Loves Me Like a Small Town” covers all the bases.

“[This song] came from a very special place. I always try to write songs that talk about more than just one thing at a time,” says Chambers in a press statement, “and this one does it all to me. It covers the way I grew up, my spirituality, small-town life, and the way I’ve seen my parents and grandparents love each other growing up.”

The song, co-written with Logan Wall and Daymon Osborn, makes for the perfect road trip tune. “She loves me like the Holy Spirit, home-crowd cheering, long-gravel drive back at mama’s house,” sings Chambers. “Like a shotgun Chevy, gassed up and ready / Bed of blankets with the stars out / It kind of makes you roll your windows down / It kind of makes your whole world go ‘round.”

A classic pop-country veneer coats the song, polished yet emotionally driven. Chambers delivers the images with a sparkle in his eye. He sings from such a personal place that you get the sense it’s all replaying in his mind’s eye. “She’s up singing with the choir like a bird on a wire / I’m a little further back in the church,” he paints in great detail.

Alongside “Loves Me Like a Small Town,” Chambers has also revealed that he has signed with Dallas Davidson’s label, Play It Again Entertainment. “I’m more than happy to have Play It Again on my side for this journey and I can’t wait to see where it goes,” says Chambers. “I have a very loyal team here and I wouldn’t want to be sharing the experience with anyone other than them.”

Originally from Douglas, Georgia, a town of less than 12,000 people, Chambers picked up the guitar because he felt country music pulling on his heart. He spent most days on a tractor, but the stars had other plans for him. He began putting in the work for a promising country career and has since opened for Dylan Marlowe and signed a publishing deal in partnership with Warner Chappell.

On streaming, Chambers has already proven to be quite a draw. His song “Kiss Me Like That” has more than one million streams – with countless others, including “In a Perfect World” and “See That Summer,” vaulting over the 100,000 mark. He’s a star in the making, that’s for sure.
