Tayler Holder isn’t about to let the summer go to waste. 

The TikTok star stakes his claim for song of the summer with “Time in This Truck.” Co-written by Andy Sheridan, Ben Williams, and Josh Mirenda, the slicked-back anthem doesn’t skimp on the small-town imagery and blow-out-your-speakers chorus. Holder revs up his engines, and lets it rip! 

“Girl, I don’t wanna waste time in this truck / Don’t wanna take the long way / I wanna use up that left lane on the highway, those side roads and shortcuts,” sings Holder, his eyes twinkling with delight. “‘Til we run out of stars and the sky and the suns up / I hope there ain’t five-O out tonight / ‘Cause I’m about to run these towns red lights / Every second we’re in it those minutes are flyin’ by.”

When Holder first heard the song, it was an immediate yes. Co-writer Williams sent over the demo, and the rest is history. “I really wanted to add a record with a true summer vibe to my next project,” Holder told Music Mayhem. “It’s everything I was praying for in a song to set the tone for the new music I have coming out, and I truly believe this is going to be something special.”

Holder, who’s amassed 20 million TikTok followers, aims to leverage his immense following for a bonafide country career. On the heels of a string of singles, including “Marry You,” the singer will release his debut, yet-untitled, EP this fall. “Time in This Truck” is just the beginning.
