Maggie Baugh Talks Touring with Home Free, New Single “Take Me To Church,” and Connecting with Fans During CMA Fest (Interview)

If you’ve been throughout Nashville for a while, Maggie Baugh is no stranger to you.

With a big personality and heart, the singer-songwriter has been making waves throughout music city while pursuing her music career.

Last Friday, Maggie released her new single titled “Take Me To Church,” which has received well streaming numbers since the release.

It’s about one of my very favorite country artists,” Eric Church,” tells Baugh.”It tells about wanting to go back and listen to his song Springsteen growing up in your car for the very first time.

With a steady release schedule and a recent tour with Home Free, the emerging artist got to mark off a bucket list moment.

I played the Ryman Auditorium last March with Home Free. I was one of their special guests and it was a dream,” tells Maggie. “All I remember was bawling my eyes out the entire time.

As we caught up with Maggie during her time at CMA Fest 2023, she’s grateful for the fans that got her to this moment.

It’s so much fun seeing fans over the years who have known me since I was like 13 or 14 years old and it’s just really cool having them bring photos of us and I can reminisce with them,” tells Baugh.

You can watch the full interview with Maggie Baugh and guest host Cody Cozz below.

Hosted by Dierks Bentley, Elle King, and Lainey Wilson “CMA Fest,” the Music Event of Summer, airs Wednesday, July 19 at 8/7c on ABC.
