Seth Ennis Wants To Tie Up Lingering Feelings In “Hair Ties (I Don’t Wanna)”

Seth Ennis explores the aftermath of a breakup and not wanting to want an ex anymore in his new single “Hair Ties (I Don’t Wanna)” – out today. Penned by Ennis with GRAMMY nominated Geoff Warburton and Matt McVaney while produced by GRAMMY nominated hitmaker Jordan Schmidt, the hooky post-breakup anthem offers a playful spin on not wanting your ex with references to wanting to stop finding her hair ties in his car. The “talented singer/songwriter” (People) dials up his “dynamic vocals” (American Songwriter) in this genre bending jam that’s guaranteed to make you want to roll your windows down and sing along all summer long.

“I heard a songwriter I really respect say in an interview once “the key to a hit song is to make heartbreak sound happy” so I spent basically a year writing a ton of songs chasing that,” shares Ennis. “ When Geoff Warburton, Matt McVaney, and I wrote ‘Hair Ties’ I felt like we captured that. I’ve loved it since the day we wrote it a couple years back and I’m so excited for it to be out in the universe.”

Last year, Ennis released  “The Book,” a dynamic song, backed by a mid-tempo rhythm, that reflects on all the questions one has after a breakup – romantic or not. He also released the “irresistible” (People) “U-Turn,” “Just A Little,” an “energetic, uptempo tune” (EverythingNash), and “So Much.” Fan favorites include – “I Still Do,” which garnered over 100,000 streams, “Woke Up in Nashville,” which The Boot called “a compelling country ballad,” “Call Your Mama” featuring award-winning group Little Big Town, and his 2017 debut EP, MABELLE. The Georgia native with a “gift for storytelling” (Taste of Country) has penned tracks for Dylan Scott (“Hooked” peaked at No.2), The Band CAMINO, Tyler Farr, Chase Rice, Lauren Alaina, Matt Stell, and more.

As “one of Nashville’s most buzzed about” (Sounds Like Nashville), Ennis broke into the Country music format in 2017 with early nods from SiriusXM, naming him one of their “Future Five,” as well as an artist to watch by CMT, Pandora, The Huffington Post, and Rolling Stone Country. The “rising country star” (HollywoodLife) has been captivating audiences across the nation opening for Little Big Town, Dylan Scott, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Billy Currington, Luke Bryan and more.
