Luke Combs Breaks Records with 12th Consecutive Single “Cold As You”
Luke Combs has officially broken another record and that includes “Cold As You” reaching #1.
With his debut single “Hurricane” released to country radio in 2016, Luke Combs has reached twelve number-one singles – which means that every single he’s released so far has reached the top spot. Combs has averaged three number one singles a year since 2017 with “Hurricane” climbing to number one on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in May of 2017.
In the past year alone, Luke Combs’ fans have made “Better Together,” “Forever After All,” and now “Cold As You” chart-topping songs. Luke Combs became the first artist to reach number one five times with his first five singles. As a result, he has raised that number to twelve and beyond. He has topped the radio charts with each single he has put out. The sophomore deluxe album was also the first in history to produce seven chart-topping country radio singles on the U.S. charts.
Combs has already released three tracks from his sophomore album since the release of the deluxe version, so “Cold As You” is likely to be the last radio single from “What You See Ain’t Always What You Get.”
“What You See Ain’t Always What You Get,” Luke Comb’s second album, was released as a deluxe edition in October of 2020. Combs’ third studio album, which should be forthcoming sometime next year, went on to earn an impressive run at number one following the release of the deluxe version.
The twelve consecutive number-one radio singles include: “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” “One Number Away,” “She Got The Best Of Me,” “Beautiful Crazy,” “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” “Even Though I’m Leaving,” “Does To Me” (feat. Eric Church), and “Lovin’ On You,” “Better Together,” “Forever After All,” and “Cold As You.”
