Morgan Wallen’s “Sand In My Boots” Officially Heads to Country Radio

The return of Morgan Wallen to country radio is official!

With his new single “Sand In My Boots” slated to go on the radio on August 23, Wallen will debut his first single since his music was temporarily pulled from radio later this year following the racial slur controversy.

“Sand In My Boots” is Wallen’s third single from his chart-topping album Dangerous: The Double Album. The track was written by him, Ashley Gorley, Josh Osborne, and Michael Hardy.

Country radio stations across the U.S. have already been playing the song since July 2021, despite the official impact date of August 23.

During the week ending July 4, Dangerous opening single, “Sand In My Boots,” landed at No. 56 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with 699,000 audience impressions, a 105% increase. The outlet added that “10 of the chart’s 149 reporters played it at least once in the tracking week.”

With “Sand In My Boots” appearing on the Country Airplay chart, it marked Wallen’s first chart appearance since “7 Summers” reached No. 15 on the chart on February 6.
