Ashley Cooke announced recently that she will release her first-ever album titled, Already Drank That Beer, on the 27th of August, and as an introduction to this release, she has released the first single titled “Good Goodbye” featuring Jimmie Allen.
It’s a stellar offering from the pair as they show off their distinctive solo sounds before blending together for an incredibly impressive harmony that drives the overall sonic background home and allows the story behind the song to be the main focus, without taking anything away from their singing abilities.
As the title indicates, the song is about two lovers trying to detangle themselves from a relationship that has come to an end. This song describes the mixed emotions that come with knowing that the relationship is over, while also desperately trying to salvage what is left of the romance once had.
Ashley Cooke and Blake Pendergrass worked together to craft this instant hit with the two writers creating a solid storyline that is carried through the entire production with guest vocals from Jimmie Allen elevating the song to the next level.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Jimmie Allen – so having him want to collaborate is such a dream come true,” shares Cooke. “We had so much fun with this song and I’m so grateful to Jimmie for putting his own spin on it, and really adding something special.”

“Putting out my debut album is such an exciting, surreal experience. After a year of connecting with fans through social media, now is the perfect time to put more music out and share it with the fans, not just through digital platforms, but out on the road too,” adds Cooke. “This album shares vulnerable parts of my life, and I’m excited for everyone to get to know me better through my music.”
